While I'm disappointed by its passing, I have to say that the SunRail debate has been very educational to me.  The articles I've been reading related to the issue have further exposed a well-known fact that everyone seems to disregard: while we absolutely cannot afford this bullet train, some people and groups want to try and find funding anyway, always in someone else's pocket.
